Dr. Divya Jyoti, Chief Executive Officer of Chanakya Foundation, has been conferred with a National Award at the Pratibha Samman Samaroh-2026 in recognition of her exceptional contributions to education and social empowerment. The award acknowledges her outstanding work in the field of education, her sustained social initiatives, visionary leadership, and transformative educational practices—particularly her relentless efforts to make quality education accessible to girls and economically disadvantaged communities.
The Bharat Pratibha Samman Parishad is a national platform that recognizes exemplary service and innovation across diverse sectors. From over 5,000 nominations received nationwide, only 30 individuals were selected for this prestigious national honour across different fields. The award was presented today at a ceremonial event held at the NDMC Central Hall, New Delhi, in the esteemed presence of Padma Shri Uma Tuli (renowned social worker and educationist) as the Chief Guest, along with Major General Yashpal Singh Mor.
Dr. Divya Jyoti’s selection stands as a testament to the deep and lasting impact of her work on the lives of thousands of students across Bihar and other regions of the country.
Widely recognized as a progressive educationist and social reformer, Dr. Divya Jyoti, through her leadership and collaboration, oversees more than 30 technical education institutions under the Chanakya Foundation Group of Institutions and Dr. Ashok Gagan College. These institutions are dedicated to providing high-quality, skill-based, employment-oriented education to thousands of students, without financial barriers.
At present, over 1,200 students are receiving free technical education at Chanakya Foundation institutions, offering a new direction and hope to economically underprivileged learners. Her education model removes financial constraints and delivers affordable, quality education, ensuring equal opportunities for students from weaker sections of society.
In a state like Bihar, where girls’ education still lags behind national standards, Dr. Divya Jyoti has undertaken extraordinary initiatives to promote employment-oriented education for young women. Through multiple scholarship programs, mentorship initiatives, and awareness campaigns, she has challenged deep-rooted social barriers and inspired families to prioritize the education of their daughters.
Beyond formal education, she has played a significant role in skill development initiatives. In collaboration with various skill development corporations and training programs, she has facilitated vocational and employment-oriented training for hundreds of marginalized and underprivileged children, enhancing their employability and promoting economic self-reliance.
Dr. Divya Jyoti is also a strong advocate for the rights of women educators. She has consistently raised her voice on issues such as workplace dignity, equal opportunities, professional recognition, and policy support for women, motivating many female educators to advance into leadership roles.
While accepting the award, Dr. Divya Jyoti expressed her gratitude to her students, teachers, and colleagues, emphasizing that the national honour is not merely a personal achievement but a recognition of collective efforts toward building an equitable and inclusive education system. She reiterated that education is the most powerful instrument of social transformation and reaffirmed her commitment to expanding access to quality education for all.
Prominent educationists, policymakers, and social leaders present at the Pratibha Samman Samaroh-2026 lauded Dr. Divya Jyoti’s work, describing her as a model of socially responsible leadership. Several speakers highlighted her academic vision and impactful grassroots work, which have brought real and measurable change to the lives of thousands of students.
