Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond won Best Web Series award at Cinema Father International Film Festival-2025

Bangalore, (Karnataka), [India], July 01, 2025: The 9th editon of Cinema Father International Film Festival-2025 (CFIFF-25) proudly announces the winners of this year’s edition, after a successful celebration of powerful storytelling, creative excellence, and diverse cinematic voices from across the globe.
“This year’s winning films truly represent the spirit of fearless, independent cinema. We applaud all the filmmakers who shared their bold, unique visions with us,” said Rambhul Singh, Festival Director.
The award ceremony was conducted in Bangalore on 22 June 2025 and drew participation from filmmakers, media professionals, film enthusiasts, and jury members around the world. Winners have received laurels, award certificates, and will be featured across CFIFF’s official platforms.
Organized by Miniboxoffice, the festival received an overwhelming number of submissions from over 20 countries, making it one of the most vibrant showcases of independent cinema this year. From compelling short films and documentaries to powerful narratives and experimental works, the selected films left a lasting impact on both the jury and global audiences.

- Best Feature Film- Jury: Uncle Vanya –Bubble waltz directed by Péter Fazakas, Hungary

- Best Actor: Jimmy Shergill for web series Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond directed, India
- Best Director: Staycation directed by Russ Emanuel, U.S
- Best Debut Director: DONT ASK directed by Agustin Santiago, Argentina
- Best Short Film: Metronome directed by Adarsh Gupta, India
- Best Animation: Chardak directed by Mileta Postic & Predrag Joldic, Serbia
- Best Documentary: #WAY_Aurelio directed by Alan Rexroth, Germany

The festival was judged by remowed film directors Mr. Prabir Roy, Mr. Dipak Bandopadhyay and film director Mr. Hali Welly fom northeast India.
