4th FIMT Moot Court Competition Witnesses Enthusiastic Participation from Law Students Across India

The 4th FIMT Moot Court Competition, All India Participation, held at Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT), witnessed an intellectually stimulating legal battle among some of the most promising law students in the country. The event, organized by the Moot Court Society, Justice Prelims, aimed at enhancing advocacy skills and legal research among aspiring legal professionals.

The prestigious competition took place on March 22, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM, on the FIMT campus under the coordination of Dr. Malvika Sharma and her team. Law students from institutions across India participated, demonstrating their legal acumen and courtroom expertise.
The final round of the competition was a face-off between University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Punjab University, and Maharaja Surajmal Institute. The session commenced with the draw of lots and exchange of memorials, followed by a rigorous 90-minute legal contest. The round was judged by an esteemed panel comprising Dr. Om Pal Shokeen, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Advocate Malhotra, Advocate Raaj Malhotra, and Advocate Nar Har. Both teams presented compelling arguments and engaged in intense legal reasoning, making for an exciting and thought-provoking competition.
Valedictory Ceremony and Key Addresses
The competition concluded with a valedictory ceremony, beginning with the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and justice. This was followed by the Felicitation of Dignitaries, where distinguished guests were honored for their contributions to the legal field.
The welcome address was delivered by Shri V.K.N. Bhardwaj, Chairman, Fairfield Group of Institutions, who emphasized the institution’s commitment to quality legal education. Ms. Glory Singh, Student Convener, Moot Court Society, presented a detailed report on the event’s participation and key highlights, while Mr. Shivam Tandon, a BBA LLB student, showcased a video presentation capturing moments from the competition, reflecting the hard work and dedication of the participants.

- Runners-up: Maharaja Surajmal Institute – awarded a trophy, certificates, and ₹25,000.
- Best Memorial: Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, New Delhi – received a trophy, certificates, and ₹5,100.
- Best Researcher: Sri Devi R. from Meri Professional Institute – awarded a trophy, certificates, and ₹5,100.
- Best Speaker 1: Dhaani Khurana from Maharaja Surajmal Institute – received a trophy, certificates, and ₹5,100.
