Know Esha Gaur; a versatile singer and her journey to the Indian music industry
Esha Gaur is an Indian singer and performer known for her versatile vocal abilities and contributions to both television and film music. Born in Varanasi, a city renowned for its rich musical heritage, Esha’s journey into the world of music began at a young age.
Esha’s musical talents were evident early on, leading her mother to arrange formal training under Dr. Parmanand Yadav. By the age of 4 years old, she delivered her first performance for the esteemed Shri Kumar Gandharv, who recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Throughout her formative years, Esha honed her skills under various mentors, including Ustaad Ahmad Hussain and Ustaad Mohammad Hussain, who provided her with platforms to showcase her talent.
After winning the most competitive Sangham Kala National in 1994 – Esha was praised and blessed by none other than Kalyan Ji Anand Ji
Esha’s dedication to music was paralleled by her academic achievements. She studied music as a subject in her 12th standard, achieving top marks in practicals—a record that still stands. She furthered her education by obtaining both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from SNDT University in Mumbai, consistently earning accolades for her performances.
In 2017, Esha commenced her professional journey with the television series “Ek Aastha Aisi Bhi,” collaborating with composer Puneet Dixit on background scores. This partnership led to contributions to various television projects, including “Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega” (Zee TV), “Namah” (Star Plus), “Main Bhi Ardhangini” (&TV), and “Vidya” (Colors), among others. Their innovative approach introduced original songs to television, a novel concept at the time.
Esha made her Bollywood singing debut with the song “Aye Zindagi” from the film “1920: Horrors of the Heart,” produced by Vikram Bhatt and starring Avika Gor. The track received positive feedback, marking a significant milestone in her career.
In August 2024, Esha released the single “Naval Kishore,” further showcasing her musical versatility. She remains active on social media, sharing her musical journey and connecting with her audience.
