The Blind Wish Gears Up for a Global Release Across India and Australia

Kolkata-based film production house Tiyasha Movies is gearing up to present its latest Bengali feature film, The Blind Wish, a project that promises to blend heartfelt storytelling with soul-stirring music. Established in 2012, the company has steadily built its presence in the regional film landscape, and this latest release reflects both its creative ambition and its growing global outlook.

Founded by Mrs. Kajari Modak, Tiyasha Movies has evolved with a clear vision—to create meaningful, emotionally resonant cinema that connects with audiences across cultures. Her journey in building the production house has been rooted in persistence and a deep understanding of storytelling that mirrors real-life experiences. With The Blind Wish, that vision takes a significant leap forward.

Presented in collaboration with Cinema Neorealism, the film is written and directed by Ruchin Veena Chainpuri. It brings together a strong ensemble cast featuring Debolina Modak Sadhu, Ratnadeep Ghosh, Nihal Datta, Anuradha Joshi, Debamita Pal Chaudhuri, Dibyadoot Roy Choudhury, Titas Das, Sritanaya, Swapna Chatterjee, Swarna Ghosh, Natasha Hessa, Pranabesh Basu Ray, Shila Biswas, and Nawal Kumar, among others. Adding to the film’s appeal is Australian actor Mouli Nath Ganguly, who plays a special and pivotal role.

At its core, The Blind Wish explores a deeply emotional and family-oriented narrative, portraying the journey between darkness and light. The film attempts to capture the complexities of human relationships and resilience, making it relatable for audiences across different backgrounds.

The project has already begun building momentum following its Music and Poster Launch held on 14th April 2026. The event marked a key milestone in the film’s promotional journey, drawing attention from both industry insiders and audiences. The film’s music, composed by Megh Banerjee, is now streaming across more than 27 global platforms, expanding its reach well beyond regional boundaries.

The soundtrack features vocals by Sangoborti Das and Subhadip Paul, bringing depth and emotion to the compositions. The lyrics, penned by newcomer Debamita Pal Chaudhuri, add a fresh and poetic touch, complementing the film’s overall narrative tone. Together, the music and visuals aim to create an immersive experience for viewers.

From a technical standpoint, the film showcases strong visual storytelling, with cinematography handled by Aparup Mondal and Krishna Vilani. The editing, led by Debolina Modak Sadhu, ensures a cohesive narrative flow that aligns with the film’s emotional depth.

One of the most notable aspects of The Blind Wish is its planned release across both India and Australia. This dual-market release highlights a growing trend of cross-border collaboration in Bengali cinema, opening doors for regional films to gain international visibility. It also reflects Tiyasha Movies’ intent to position its content on a global platform.

As anticipation builds, The Blind Wish stands as a testament to the evolving nature of regional cinema – where stories rooted in local culture are finding resonance on a worldwide stage. The rest of the story, as the makers suggest, is best experienced on the big screen.
