A peace and prayer assembly is being organized at the Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadhish Temple in ISKCON Dwarka today, Sunday, December 1, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, to promote peace and harmony in Bangladesh.

It is noteworthy that the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), established by Swami Prabhupada in the 1970s, is holding peace and prayer assemblies across the globe at its 1,000 temples today.

ISKCON’s Communications Director, Brajendranandan Das, said, “We pray to Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Radha Parthasarathi, Lord Krishna, Sita-Rama, Lakshman-Hanumanji, and Lord Narasimha for the swift end of the violence and mistreatment of Krishna devotees and other Hindu Sanatan followers in Bangladesh. May lasting harmony and love be restored, enabling devotees to resume their preaching activities. A happy life is essential for everyone, and everyone has the right to live peacefully. Therefore, we pray to Lord Krishna to bless the disruptive elements in Bangladesh with wisdom so that permanent peace can prevail. To this end, ISKCON has organized a global peace and prayer assembly today.”

On this occasion, ISKCON Dwarka President Pradyumna Priya Das stated, “Living in fear is the greatest crime against humanity. Hence, peace and harmony in Bangladesh are crucial. Lord Krishna is omnipotent and can do anything. As His devotees, we pray to Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadhish to empower our prayers so that their impact is felt even thousands of miles away. Through the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra Sankirtan Yajna, our devotees are making dedicated efforts in this direction. Lord Krishna’s blessings are with us to make this peace and harmony campaign successful.”

ISKCON Dwarka Vice President Shri Gaur Das, the organizer of the peace and prayer assembly, said, “We also urge the Bangladeshi government to take swift action to address the turmoil in the country so that the lives of its citizens can return to normalcy. True happiness lies in peace, brotherhood, and love, and ISKCON has always stood as a symbol of these values.”
