Taiwan Expo India 2023 showcases top-of-line offering at the Healthcare Pavilion

The much-awaited Taiwan Expo India 2023 has set up the Healthcare Pavilion to showcase 7 key Taiwan companies offering top of line products and services in the healthcare sector, namely:

• Ubiquitous Diagnostic Environment (UDE) App built by EBM Technologies Inc. which allows seamless communication of clinical information and overcomes traditional workstation barriers for the optimal outcome. The UDE App converts any standard iPad Pro into a standalone DICOM server, viewer, display, and Al- all in one. The application works with PACS, medical imaging modalities, or any DICOM compatible software, allowing exam images to be directly transmitted to an iPad via DICOM communication for offline display and storage. While away from a traditional medical workstation, a user can simply use two iPad Pros installed with the UDE and AgileRIS app to create a compact mobile workstation.
• ACRO Biomedical Co., Ltd has ABCcolla® Collagen Matrix which is prepared by supercritical CO₂ extraction technology. It is a decellularized native porcine collagen scaffold dressing indicated for the management of full and partial-thickness wounds. The porous collagen bio-material absorbs a high level of wound exudates and maintains an optimal moist environment conducive to healing.
• Taitung Instruments Co., Ltd offers Emergency stretchers having the following features: constructed using 304 stainless steel structure making it durable and does not rust or present safety and hygiene issues due to chipping paint. To facilitate quick and easy patient treatment and transfer for medical personnel, all of our features are designed to be accessible from both ends. This design eliminates the need for medical personnel to differentiate between the head and foot of the stretcher, especially during emergencies or when working in tight spaces. TAITUNG offers meticulous customization services allowing the tailored products to complement the hospital’s requirements.
• National Cheng Kung University Hospital also has a booth in the pavilion to showcase their excellence in achievement on medical, educational and research services. They provide emergency, inpatient, outpatient, health examination services and the care for emergent, critical, complicated and rare diseases
• Mikotek Information INC. has a stellar product offering, MikoDrip IV Monitoring System built using the technology of ‘weight sensing module and its drip weight monitoring device’to develop the sensing signal sending and reporting system, and make a complete system integration product. “MikoDrip IV Monitoring System” mainly monitors the current weight of the infusion water bag, and estimates the time when the drip is finished, and transmits it to the system or mobile communication device through wireless means.
• Taichung Veterans General Hospital offers application of Electronic Paper in Healthcare Service. Electronic paper intravenous transfusion tag(NFC M-tag) is integrated with information of patient and the intravenous transfusion systemenhance the administering medication safety. Similarly, Electrophoretic display M-bedside card could combine any amount of cards of patient’s information to expand the display content for quickly grasping the clinical status of patients. The Management system for unit-dose Boxes with electronic paper labeluses e-paper label(EPL) and ZigBee wireless transmission, eco-friendly and saves electricity. The display messages can be customized. The EPL update automatically when patient status change. The system can link to hospital back-end application or APP.

They also have built Clinical Support System for Analyses of Trends in Consumed Equivalent Doses of Analgesics, which is a pioneering effort that effectively integrates trend analysis of analgesic medication dosages and is capable of providing integrated information. This system is exclusively designed to support clinical treatment, allowing integration with other necessary interfaces. It can directly capture patients’ actual usage records without the need for manual queries or input, reducing the chances of missed queries or human input errors. The system does not require independent activation, making it more aligned with clinical practicality.

• Taiwan Nobel Medical Group has been known for its SMILE, LASIK procedure for laser refractive surgery for myopia and presbyopia, and cataract surgery for years.
