Professor Rama Rao Represents SRM AP at Leading European Universities in Spain and Hungary

Amaravati, India | February 2026: Professor Rama Rao T, from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SRM University–AP, Amaravati, has successfully represented the university on a prestigious academic visit to Europe, strengthening international collaboration in next-generation communication technologies.

At the invitation of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), Spain, Professor Rama Rao visited the university from February 2 to 6, 2026, where he delivered a series of guest lectures on “Terahertz Wireless Communications.” These lectures focused on emerging communication technologies that are expected to play a transformative role in the development of 6G wireless networks, offering ultra-high data rates, low latency, and intelligent connectivity.

The sessions were attended by faculty members, researchers, and graduate students, sparking productive discussions on advanced wireless systems and their applications in future global communication infrastructures.

Following his academic engagement in Spain, Professor Rama Rao travelled to Hungary, where he delivered a Keynote Address at the 4th IFIP Intelligent Infocommunication Networks, Systems and Services (WINS 2026) conference, hosted by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics from February 9–10, 2026.

WINS is an internationally recognized workshop series that provides a global platform for exchanging ideas, innovations, and recent research in intelligent infocommunication networks, systems, and services, under the umbrella of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP). Professor Rama Rao presented his cutting-edge research findings, highlighting advances in wireless communication technologies that are expected to shape the future of digital connectivity.

The participation of Professor Rama Rao in these prestigious academic forums underscores SRM University–AP’s growing global presence in advanced engineering research and innovation. His engagement with leading European institutions has further strengthened academic ties and opened new avenues for collaborative research in next-generation communication technologies.
